Rarely do I get excited about anything from the NAMM shows. I tend to be a conservative buyer, waiting for the technological jump that will take me a lightyear beyond what I already own, instead of rushing out to trade in my old gear to buy the depressing new 1 up’ed version of already existing gear you typically get from the big three that hardly offers any advantages over the old one. Does that remind anyone of college textbooks BTW? I digress, I am however floored that Korg would offer a product that seems so perfectly matched with Ableton Live (and other portable DJ programs), let alone laptops. Usually products like this are left to boutique companies, at boutique prices.

These were first demoed in the UK at 69 pounds, which would work out to about 125$ US a piece, but according to this video the street price US, is also 69$. When I first heard of these, I was already smitten. At this price, you can call me a nancy boy Korg whore. I’m just really hoping the build quality holds up. If it does, Korg is set to ruin Roland in the history books as embracing the dance genre.
